President James A.Garfield’s Burial Site Burglarized

Memorabilia was stolen overnight from the Lakeview Cemetery resting place of the 20th President of the United States. Police say someone broke a window of the James A. Garfield Monument to gain entry and stole commemorative spoons which were on display. Cleveland.com reports.

A cemetery employee had been fired the day before after displaying “extreme opposite behavior.” Police did collect pieces of evidence and hope DNA on the items will help them find the burglar.
